Teen cinema
Adolescent cinema (also known as teen cinema) is a film genre aimed at
teenagers and young adults, whose argument is often based on the special
interests of the youngest, such as coming of age, first love, rebellion,
conflicts with the parents, teenage angst, and alienation. Often, these serious
issues are presented in a superficial, stereotyped or trivialized way.
Films in this genre are usually located in schools or are played by
high school students. Sexual issues are common, as is nudity and the raw form
of humor.

", characterized by focusing on young adults, and their amorous
complications in several of his films.
Notable actors
Teen movies feature actors like Annette Funicello and Hayley Mills who
played important roles in the sixties and seventies, members of the Brat Pack
in the eighties and early nineties, and later Sarah Michelle Gellar, Sean
William Scott, Jason Biggs, Zac Efron and other sensations that were
preadolescents or teenagers at the time of the films they starred in.
